The papers identify the current use of AI and related digital technologies by the judicial sector; an assessment of their potential application to address their key needs and challenges; and also the debate on critical issues in design and implementation related to fairness, accountability and judicial independence.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In turn, an analytical framework is presented that allows stakeholders in the region to conduct their own assessment of the needs, obstacles and opportunities of the judicial sector in adopting AI technologies in their
